Recognized as Top 5 Service Providers in the UK
Carebeans is a leading software product company focused on delivering digital care management solutions for the social care sector. Their platform supports a wide range of services, including Care Planning, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, and Staff Management, enabling care providers to manage operations efficiently while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
The platform has achieved significant credibility in the ecosystem, being listed on the NHS Assured Supplier List and recognized as an approved PRSB Partner, placing it among a select group of trusted digital providers in the UK healthcare space.
What started as a pilot with 10 care homes became the industry standard across 400+ facilities. The platform’s success attracted acquisition interest from a major healthcare services group that recognized its strategic value. Carebeans got acquired by Quality Compliance Systems (QCS) in 2024.

“I have worked with V2STech for a number of years. The relationship started by building a proof of concept in a limited time to test their abilities. They passed with flying colours. I have been working with them ever since. At my current organisation, they have become my trusted IT partner, performing all the functions, including development, IT support, server set-up, server maintenance.”
— Nick Lawford -CEO, Carebeans, UK
Ensure compliance with CQC standards, maintain audit-ready documentation, automate alerts for violations, track medications per NHS guidelines, monitor staff qualifications, and enforce infection control protocols.
Enable central oversight across 10+ facilities (scaling to 400+), support unique workflows per site, standardize reporting, enable staff mobility between locations, and provide real-time dashboards for regional managers.
Handle 24/7 shift patterns, skills-based scheduling, holiday + sick leave, overtime calculations, PAYE/National Insurance payroll integration, agency vs permanent staff tracking, and enforce CQC staffing minimums.
Strong need to go to market quickly. Continuous demand for new features aligned with customer needs. Frequent deadlines are tied to care industry events, webinars, and product showcases. Need for a stable infrastructure without an internal DevOps capability.
In healthcare, downtime, missing records, or medication errors are unacceptable. Carebeans needed a system that frontline staff could use under pressure, that worked even with weak connectivity, and that made compliance effortless. The platform had to earn trust daily from nurses, managers, families, and regulators.
We didn’t just build software. We built a compliance-first platform designed for real-world care delivery under NHS standards.
The first priority was speed. Carebeans needed a working product that could. Enter the market quickly, demonstrate value to early customers, and enable real-world feedback.
We built the MVP with 3 core modules: Staff Scheduling, Medication Administration, and Care Documentation. Launched with 10 care homes (250 residents, 180 staff).
Once proven in pilot facilities, growth accelerated rapidly through referrals. The platform scaled from 10 to 100+ care homes over 18 months.
Scaled to 40 care homes. Added analytics dashboard, financial reporting module, NHS integrations, and family mobile apps. Processing 50,000+ medication administrations/month.
Reached 100+ care homes (2,500+ residents, 1,800+ staff). Added workforce analytics, nurse agency integration, CQC automation, resident assessment tools. Processing 200,000+ care activities/month.
This phase focused on making the platform enterprise-ready by embedding regulatory compliance, robust security, and operational resilience into the core architecture. The goal was to ensure the solution could withstand audits, scale securely, and meet strict UK healthcare standards.
This ongoing phase represents V2STech’s long-term partnership approach, where the platform continuously evolves in response to regulatory changes, user feedback, and industry advancements. The focus remains on future readiness, compliance continuity, and sustained performance at scale.
The technology choices that enabled Carebeans to scale safely and stay compliant
Care homes often have unreliable WiFi. Staff can’t wait for network connectivity to record medication or care events. Our PWA ensured critical actions always worked offline and synced safely when internet returned.
Medication records are captured immediately even without connectivity.
Reliable background sync prevents data loss and ensures compliance records are always complete.
Every action includes timestamps and identity tracking for regulator audits.
Admin Time Reduction
Nurses spent less time on paperwork and more time on resident care
Faster Compliance Reporting
CQC reporting reduced from days to hours with automation
Reduction in Family Complaints
Real-time family portal improved communication and trust
Shadowed care staff at 3 facilities, mapped NHS compliance needs, defined platform architecture
